Loving Noel (Wildcat Graduates Book 1) Page 21
Pulling my face down to hers, Xana kisses me like she’s never kissed me before, my finger moving in and out of her. I insert another finger and rub her clit with my thumb, causing Xana to move her hips in rhythm with my fingers. Her breathing, like mine, becomes more erratic as my fingers move faster in and out of her now drenched folds.
“It feels…so good, Noel,” she says with a shaky breath.
“You’re squeezing my fingers so tightly. I need to be inside of you, okay?” I question her, not wanting to rush her, but my dick is so hard right now I’m not sure how much longer I can wait.
“Yes. Please, Noel,” she begs, her whole body trembling.
“I’ll be as gentle as I can, okay?” I tell her as she nods her head and raises her hips to mine to place my tip at her entrance.
I enter her slowly, giving her time to adjust to my intrusion. Being inside her feels like nothing I can describe; all I can do is feel. Xana’s hands wrap around my waist and I kiss her lips as I continue to inch my way inside her. As I reach her barrier, our eyes meet and I pause, waiting for her response. She smiles slightly as she raises her hips in encouragement.
After I’m inside her completely, I wait a moment before pulling back slowly. “You feel so good wrapped around me,” I say as I slowly move back inside her, Xana gripping my back tighter. “Do you feel good, Sweetness?” I ask, continuing my slow rhythm in and out of her. We continue kissing and touching each other, moving as one. Xana’s soft moans and her shallow breathing against my neck drives me to move faster inside her warm, pulsing center.
“Oh, yes. That…. feels….yes,” she utters.
“I know. So good,” I say and kiss her neck, pulling her skin in between my teeth. Xana’s hips move against mine as our pace quickens, taking us to the edge.
“Please, don’t stop, Noel. Please,” she begs me, and I move faster in and out of her.
“I won’t. I can’t.” Our mouths crash together and I increase my pace until Xana falls over the edge, calling out my name.
“Noel,” Xana calls out, her inner walls squeezing my dick like a vice grip until I fall over the edge after her.
“Xana! Oh, yes!” I grunt, filling the condom until I’m completely drained. I fall forward on top of Xana, resting most of my weight on my forearms on either side of her head. We lay like that, foreheads touching, until our breathing slows, neither of us quite ready to move apart. After a few minutes like that, I slowly roll off her to lie facing her. Reaching to my feet, I pull the excess comforter around us, making sure she is covered. I lean over and caress her cheek with my hand as I kiss her again, this time more slowly. Xana runs her hands through my hair and kisses me back, sucking my lips into her mouth. I love it when she does that.
“I love you, Noel,” she tells me as she holds my cheek in her hand.
“I love you, too, Sweetness. So much.” I run my hand over her hair, removing the stray pieces from her face. “I’ll be right back,” I whisper and walk to the bathroom to dispose of the condom and get out a warm rag for Xana. As I pull on my boxers and jeans, I pick up her clothes and turn to her.
“There’s a warm rag in the bathroom if you’d like to get cleaned up,” I tell her, handing her clothes. She nods and I help her stand up.
As Xana gets cleaned up and dressed, I take my comforter and put it in the washer. There isn’t much blood on it, thankfully. I hate that I hurt her, but I am so glad we were together the first time.
“Hey,” Xana says softly as she shyly walks into the kitchen. I pull her into my arms and hug her, placing kisses along her face.
“Hey Sweetness, everything alright?” I ask as I study her face, my hands rubbing circles on her back. Xana looks up with a soft smile on her beautiful face.
She kisses my chin and says, “Everything is great, Handsome.” She hugs me tightly and we stand there for a few minutes, just enjoying the feel of each other.
“Let’s go watch a little television before I have to take you home.” I take her hand and lead her to the recliner, where I set her in my lap and put the foot rest up. We lay there together, with Xana cuddled into my side, and watch an episode of Supernatural that my parents had saved on the DVR. When the episode is over, I drive Xana home. Since it is well before her curfew, we decide to take our time, driving up and down Northwest Avenue a few times, like everyone else seems to do on Friday and Saturday nights.
Before I get in bed, I text Xana instead of calling so I don’t wake her parents up.
ME: Are you in bed yet?
SWEETNESS: Yes, I just got in. Are you?
ME: I’m about to be. Are you going to sleep now, or were you staying up for a bit?
SWEETNESS: I was just gonna read for a little bit.
ME: Are you feeling alright?
SWEETNESS: I really am fine, just a little tired. You?
ME: I’m fine. I just wanted to talk before I went to sleep.
SWEETNESS: I’m glad you did. I like us talking before I go to sleep.
SWEETNESS: Noel?
ME: Yeah?
SWEETNESS: I miss you.
ME: I miss you, too.
SWEETNESS: You do?
ME: Always.
ME: Goodnight, Sweetness.
I place my phone on the charger and climb into bed. Making sure my alarm is set, I turn off the lights and think about my night with Xana.
Stacy texted me late last night to let me know how things were going. Needless to say, she was more than relieved when Cade decided to go with her. The coach really seemed to understand, and since the guys had practiced a lot before the season started, he didn’t mind Cade missing today’s game. They should have everything taken care of by tomorrow afternoon, so they will be home late tomorrow night. Stacy and I had planned to watch the exhibition game this afternoon, but since she and Cade are in Springdale, I’ll take Mom’s car and go by myself.
Rolling over to face my nightstand I notice the message light blinking on my phone. Reaching for it, I sit up against my headboard to read the messages.
HANDSOME: Good morning,Sweetness.
HANDSOME: I love you.
How can he possibly get any sweeter than he already is? I wish he were here with me right now, holding me like last night.
ME: Good morning, Handsome. I love you, too.
HANDSOME: I can’t wait to see you at the game. You’re still coming?
Me: Wouldn’t miss it for the world! I love watching you play.
HANDSOME: I know, but I wasn’t sure how you were feeling today.
ME: We’re good, Handsome. Promise. :)
HANDSOME: I’m glad to hear that. I’ll see you at the ballfield. K?
ME: Always. <3
I stay in bed for a while, thinking about being with Noel last night. I’m not really sure what I thought my first time would be like, but I’m glad it was with Noel. I wasn’t expecting anything to happen, but once we got to that point, I couldn’t hold back anymore. He’s always been so patient and agreed that we should wait. He knew I wasn’t someone who would ever just give in and go all the way, and he never made me feel bad for it, nor did he ever hold it against me. I’d say I gave him my heart last night, but I think he may have already had it.
After putting off getting up for long enough, I take my phone and head to the kitchen to find something to eat for breakfast. It’s already nine o’clock and through the patio doors, I can see Mom and Dad outside in the backyard working on the flowerbeds. Mom must have gotten Dad up early and took him to the nursery with her. She is always planting something in our yard, whether it’s flowers or shrubs is anyone’s guess. I check my messages before scrounging around in the fridge for something to eat.
I finish breakfast and take a shower so I can wash my hair. It was too late last night when I got home, and I didn’t want to get it wet before I went to bed. My curly hair would have been awful this morning, causing the need to wash it again anyway so I just waited. Mom catches me on my way to shower and gives me a list of a few things
she needs me to pick up from the store before I leave for the game.
“Are you sure you don’t mind driving to pick up those things for me, Xan? If it’s too much for you, I can get Dad to pick them when we’re done here,” Mom tells me.
“I’ll be fine, Mom. It’s just a short drive there and back.” I give mom a quick hug and continue on to the bathroom. It’s just a few things she wants me to pick up, but Saturdays are always busier than during the week, so I don’t take my time getting ready, like I usually do. Noel’s game starts at one o’clock, but I don’t want to get caught in long lines and make myself late. We have a little routine we go through before he has a game. He says it makes him play better. I’m not sure I believe that, though. He played really well before we were together, but who am I to argue with him, and after last night, I need to see him.
After putting the stuff I got for Mom away, I check my appearance in the bathroom mirror and decide everything looks good, so I head to the backyard and let my parents know I’m leaving.
Sticking my head out of the patio door, I call Mom’s name to get her attention. Mom looks up at me as she takes off her gardening gloves. “Okay. Well, if you get back and we’re not here, Xan, we’ll probably be at the nursery. We have a few more things to get before they close today so we can get everything finished this weekend while the weather is nice. Just let us know if you’re going anywhere else after the game, okay?” Mom says, brushing the dirt off her gloves.
“No problem, Mom. We really haven’t talked about doing anything, but if we do, I’ll send you a text, okay?”
“That’s fine, Sweetie, just let us know what your plans are and we’ll go from there. Have fun and wish Noel luck for us,” Mom tells me as Dad walks over and gives me a hug and a kiss on my temple.
“I filled the car up with gas this morning, so you shouldn’t have to worry about that,” Dad tells me, before giving me one more squeeze and returning to the task Mom has given him. He’s always taking care of me, even when I don’t need it.
“Thanks, Dad. I’ll see ya’ll later.” I wave at them both, and lock the front door behind me as I leave.
When I arrive at the ballfield, there are already a lot of people there to see all the guys play together for the first time this season. The Varsity and Junior Varsity teams are playing each other, and that always draws a lot of the community in to watch the game.
As I walk over to the field, the boys are already warming up, Varsity in their purple uniforms, and Junior Varsity in their white uniforms. I make my way over to where the Varsity team is warming up and watch them through the fence. I’m about to make my way to the stands to find a seat when Noel sees me and walks my way. The smile he has on his face as he looks at me makes my stomach flutter and my heart race. No one else has ever had that effect on me. I smile back at him without even realizing it, and grab on to the fence with both hands so I can steady myself.
Noel reaches through the fence with his fingers and holds onto mine, “Hey, Sweetness.” His lips reach for mine, not caring that the fence is between us. I return his kiss as much as I can with the chain link in the way, and pull away to smile back at him.
“Sorry I’m a little later than usual. I had to run to the store for Mom before I left,” I apologize.
“I’ll admit I was a little worried you wouldn’t come today. Not after last night.” Noel looks into my eyes, searching for my reaction as he squeezes my fingers with his.
“Of course, I’d come to watch you today. I wouldn’t miss it for anything, especially after last night.” I stand on my toes and place a quick kiss on his lips. “Now, go back to practice before coach yells at you. Good luck, slugger.” Noel flashes that smile I’ve grown addicted to, and heads back to his team.
I find my seat in the stands beside Kaitlynn, Shawn, Jason and Erika. The weather is nice and warm, with a cool breeze drifting in and out. Both teams are playing well, a great indication that this season is going to be a great one. In fact, it may rival the season the football team had. Jason is pretending he is the commentator for the game, and is highly entertaining. Even the adults around us are enjoying his commentary. There’s never a dull moment with Jason around, ever. Noel scored two runs, one of them almost a home run. I’m so proud of him.
After the game, we walk out to the parking lot to wait for the guys to clear the field and be released by the coach. Most of the crowd has left by the time I see Noel, Liam, Cole, and Kevin walking toward us, gear in tow. Before they reach us, they are swarmed by a group of girls, who had apparently been waiting for them to leave. One of them is the girl Cole has been dating lately, but I’m not sure I know who the rest of them are. We all watch the scene unfold in front of us in silence until Kaitlynn breaks it.
“Do those girls not see how desperate they look? Except for that one girl dating Cole, does anyone even know who the rest of them are?” Everyone shrugs their shoulders in response and looks at one another.
Noel finally breaks away from the group and continues his way over to us, his eyes never leaving mine. He uses his free hand to pull me to him, and kisses me. My hands find their way into the loops of his ball pants and remain there.
“Oh, hey, Mercedes,” Jason says as one of the girls from the group approaches our group. “I didn’t realize that was you over there.”
“Yeah, I came to the game with Sarah. You played a good game, Noel.” She smiles sweetly at him, never once looking at me. Noel places his gear bag on the ground and pulls me in front of him, my back to his sweaty chest.
“Thanks.” His response is rather blunt, but she doesn’t seem phased by it at all.
“You’re welcome. I can’t wait to see you play again. You were amazing,” she gushes, smiling at him even more. She looks over her shoulder at her group of friends. “I guess I had better get going before my ride leaves me. I’ll see you at school.” Mercedes smiles at him once again and heads back to her friends. Halfway across the parking lot, she turns slightly and waves to Noel over her shoulder before turning back around and walking the rest of the way to her friends.
Noel tightens his grip around my waist as I start to take a step forward. How dare she do that while I’m standing right here with his arms around me! He even kissed me in front of her! Everyone is staring at me as I glare at the blonde bubble-headed bimbo walking away from us. Will it ever end? When will they stop pretending like I don’t exist and accept the fact that I’m his girlfriend? I mean, we have been dating for over a year now. What will it take to get them to back off? Will he decide he wants one of them instead of me?
“How did you know she was one of the girls from that far away,” Erika turns to ask him.
“I didn’t realize it was her until she got close enough to us.” Jason shakes his head and pats Noel on the shoulder. “You really attract the crazies, don’t you?”
Noel sighs, and places his chin on the top of my head. “I suppose I do. I’m almost immune to it by now. Half the time, I’m not even sure what they’re saying to me,” he says and kisses my head. “I’m starving. Who wants pizza?”
Noel reaches down to grab his gear and tosses it onto his shoulder. “We can meet down at Pizza Hut on Northwest Avenue in about thirty minutes. That should give everyone time to get there. Does that sound good to everyone?” Everyone agrees to meet up there and heads to their cars.
Noel takes my keys from me and opens my door. Grabbing my hand before I can climb into the car, he turns me to face him and asks, “You okay, baby?” The look of concern he has on his face causes me to smile in reassurance.
“Yeah, I’m okay. It just bothers me a little more than usual after what we shared last night.” I lean up and kiss him on the tip of his nose. “Now, let’s go get some pizza. If you haven’t noticed, my stomach is yelling at you,” I tease him and climb into my car. Noel laughs heartily as he leans inside my door.
“Maybe we’ll just drive around in the country for a little while before we go eat. What is your stomach telling me now?”
“It’s telling you to get in the car and feed me,” I respond, as I shove him backward so I can shut my door. Noel just chuckles at my lame attempt to move him and stands up, his hand holding my door open.
“I’ll follow you to your house and then you’ll ride with me to Pizza Hut.” He winks at me and closes my door before I have a chance to argue with him about it. He does that to me every time. I’ll never stand a chance with him.
Two hours later has the six of us enjoying ourselves over pizza and drinks at Pizza Hut. Jason and Shawn are keeping us entertained with jokes and ridiculous stories. After all of the pizza is finished, and we have stayed long enough, the guys decide to take us to the movies. I really don’t care which movie we see, being with Noel is what I want. The rest of our friends decided on some action adventure movie that’s been out for a few weeks. Since we’ve already eaten dinner, the guys only get us drinks before the movie starts.
We find enough empty seats near the middle of the theatre and get settled just in time for the previews to start. People are still chatting quietly in the theatre, cellphones lighting up the room. The wall lights go dim, alerting us to the start of the movie, and Noel shoves something into my lap.
“What is this?” I ask, grabbing onto the box and holding it up to my face.
The light from the movie screen illuminates the small box enough for me to see that it’s actually a box of Sour Punch Straws, green apple, my favorite. I turn my head toward his and press my mouth to his, my empty hand gripping the back of his head. He slides the arm around my shoulders into my hair, holding me in place, until I break the kiss.
“You’re too good to me, Noel. You always know.” Noel runs his fingertips down my cheek and I lean into it.
“Not too good. I…” he stops when a balled up straw wrapper hits me in the face. The moment lost, we both laugh and turn to watch the movie.
